2. Balance the resource workload manually with the new features in version 3.11.
2.1 Find the over-allocations.
If the Resource\Highlight overallocation menu is selected, the task which has over-allocation will be highlighted in the Gantt Chart. This menu can be use to check whether the resources is over-allocated. If on any resources are over-allocated, AdeptTracker will not highlight any task.
The Resource\Overallocation Filter menu can be used to find the over-allocations too. After selecting this menu, only the task which has over-allocation will be shown on the Gantt Chart.
2.2 Review the assignment information of the tasks which have over-allocation
The Resource\Resource Graph Panel menu can be used to open the Resource Graph Panel window in the Gantt Chart View.
When a task is selected which has over-allocation in the task table, the assignment information will be show in the "Resource Graph Panel" window. If any resource is overallocated, AdeptTracker will mark the part of units which exceeds the availability.
When the user clicks the Resource Graph Panel window, AdeptTracker will highlight the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer. When the user double clicks the content area of the Resource Graph Panel window, AdeptTracker will use an internal filter to show the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer only on the Gantt Chart.
The title of the Resource Graph Panel window is the name of the resource.
When the title is double clicked, AdeptTracker will use the Assign resource to filter the tasks which have allocated the resource only on the Gantt Chart.
2.3 Resolve over-allocation
To resolve the over-allocation, first double click the title of the "Resource Graph Panel" window to show the tasks which have over-allocation only on Gantt Chart, and select every task and delay the start time respectively.
In the version 3.11, some menu items in the Tools menu have been moved to the Resource menu.
3.1 New Main Menu items
3.1.1 Resource\Highlight overallocation
When this menu is selected, the task which has over - allocation will be highlighted in the Gantt Chart.
3.1.2 Resource\Resource Graph Panel
Open or close the Resource Graph Panel window in the Gantt Chart View.
3.1.3 Resource\Overallocation Filter
When the user selects this menu, only the task which has over - allocation will be shown on the Gantt Chart. You can use the Views/Filter/All Tasks menu to show all the tasks on the Gantt Chart again.
3.1.4 Resource\Calculate Work
This menu item is used to specify the basis settings for resource work calculating.
3.2 Context menu items of the Resource Graph Panel window
3.2.1 Highlight Tasks
When this menu item is selected, AdeptTracker will highlight the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer.
3.2.2 Filter
When this menu item is selected, AdeptTracker will use an internal filter to show the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer only on the Gantt Chart.
The user can use the Views/Filter/All Tasks menu to show all the tasks on the Gantt Chart again.
3.2.3 Move task to
A task must be selected in the Gantt Chart before you can use this menu item.
This menu item is used to modify the start time of the selected task in the Gantt Chart, the new start time of the task is the time at the mouse pointer.
3.2.4 Insert task to
This menu item is similar to the Move task to.
This menu item is used to change the start time of the selected task in the Gantt Chart to the time at the mouse pointer, and delay the subsequent tasks which are allocated the same resource.
This menu item can avoid new over-allocation in many cases.
3.2.5 Calculate Work
This menu item is used to specify the basis settings for resource work calculating.
3.2.6 Show
If Work is checked, the Resource Graph Panel window will show the workload of the resource.
If Work Availability is checked, the Resource Graph Panel window will show the Availability of resource.
3.3 The Resource Graph Panel window
The Resource Graph Panel is a child window of the Gantt Chart View. It can show the workload or Availability of resources in the specified time range.
If the Resource Graph Panel is opened, when the user selects a task in the Gantt Chart, the "Resource Graph Panel" will show the allocation information of the resources which are assigned to the selected task.
In the Resource Graph Panel window, the user can click the right button of the mouse to activate the context menu.
When the Resource Graph Panel window is clicked, AdeptTracker will highlight the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer. When the user double clicks the content area of the Resource Graph Panel window, AdeptTracker will use an internal filter to show the tasks which have allocated the resource at the mouse pointer only on the Gantt Chart.
The title of the Resource Graph Panel window is the name of the resource. When the user double clicks the title, AdeptTracker will use the Assign resource to filter to show the tasks which have allocated the resource only on the Gantt Chart.
3.4 The simple cost report
To output this simple cost report, click the Report icon on the navigation bar to switch to the Report View, and select the Simple Cost report in the drop list on the top of window.
The simple cost report is used to print the cost, BCWP and BCWS in a specified period.
The user can click the Advance button to change the settings.

In the Format tab of the Simple Cost Report Options dialog box, you can select the task properties to print in the task list.

In the Options tab of the Simple Cost Report Options dialog box, if the Output task list is checked, AdeptTracker will print the cost information of the tasks in the specified period.
In the Options tab of the Simple Cost Report Options dialog box, the user can specify the current date of status in the Status date if the Or not specify is unchecked. If the Or not specify is checked, AdeptTracker will use the system time as the current date of status.
In the Options tab of the Simple Cost Report Options dialog box, the start and end dates of this period can be specified with Start and End . If the Start is not specified, AdeptTracker applies the start date of the project as the start date. If the End is not specified, AdeptTracker applies the finish date of the project as the end date.
