AdeptTracker Professional 3.01 Beta
About this Release:
This is a beta version of AdeptTracker 3.01. All the functionality is available now and we are fixing the bugs reported.
If you wish to report a bug, simply send an email to support@adepttracker.com. Any feedback would be appreciated.
1. New features in this release

Fixed bugs.
A major enhancement in AdeptTracker 3.0 is the automatic ability to resolve the overallocation. The resource leveling functionality has been implemented in this release. Another major enhancement is the ability to specify working and nonworking time for an individual resource.
In addition, we have improved some of the UI elements since the AdeptTracker 3.0 Preview 1 released.

Added Resource Calendar. A calendar that specifies working and nonworking time for an individual resource.

2. About the license to AdeptTracker 3.0
If you have purchased a license to AdeptTracker 1.x or 2.x, an upgrade from the previous version to AdeptTracker 3.x is free of charge.
3. Simple guide to new features
3.1 Added a new way to link tasks by multi-selecting tasks
- Click the Gantt Chart button in the navigation panel.
- In the task list, select two or more tasks you want to link in the order you want to link them. To select nonadjacent tasks, hold down CTRL, and then click the tasks you want to link. To select adjacent tasks, hold down SHIFT, and then click the first and last tasks you want to link.
- Select the Link Tasks from the Project menu(or click the Link Tasks Icon on the toolbar).
3.2 Added a new way to link tasks by typing the predecessor IDs in the Predecessor ID field directly
- Click the Gantt Chart button in the navigation panel.
- In the task list, select the successor task entry.
- Press the Ctrl + E key, and use the Ctrl + UP, Ctrl + DOWN, Ctrl + LEFT, Ctrl + RIGHT to move the focus to the Predecessor ID field of the successor.
- Type the Predecessor IDs in the Predecessor ID field. For example, 1SS+3d2h15m represent a Start-Start Relationship with a lag with 3 days and two hours and 15 minutes, and the predecessor is the task which ID is #1.
3.3 Added a new way to change or delete task link by double click the link line on Gantt Chart
- Click the Gantt Chart button in the navigation panel.
- Double-click the link line of the tasks you want to change or delete.
- To remove the relationship, click the Delete button.
- To change the link type, select a new type in the Type and click OK.
- To change the lag, enter a new lag in the Lag and click OK. For example, 3d2h15m represent a lag with 3 days and two hours and 15 minutes.
3.4 Added Link Manager
- Select the Task Relationship Manager from the Tools menu.
- Check the Track selected task in Gantt Chart.
- Select a task in the task list of Gantt Chart. After a task is selected, the links of this task will list in the Relationships of task of the Link Manager.
- Select a relationship in the Relationships of task.
- To remove the relationship, click the Delete button.
- To change the link type, select a new type in the Type and click OK.
- To change the lag, enter a new lag in the Lag and click OK. For example, 3d2h15m represent a lag with 3 days and two hours and 15 minutes.
3.5 Enhaced the Cutting/Pasting/Copying task functionality
In this new version, Cutting tasks functionality is added.
In this new version, you can copy and paste more than one tasks.
If a task is copied and pasted, the relationship and the assignment will be copied and pasted besides the properties.
If a summary task is copied and pasted, all it's subtask is copied and pasted together.
3.6 Enabled multi-selection in the task list of Gantt Chart
To select nonadjacent tasks, hold down CTRL, and then click the tasks you want to link. To select adjacent tasks, hold down SHIFT, and then click the first and last tasks you want to link.
You can delete, copy and paste more than one tasks with multi-selection.
Limitation of multi-selection: editing properties for multi-tasks is not available in this new verion.
3.7 Fixed bugs
In the previous version, the new task may be invisible if the tasks is more than one page. Now this bug is fixed in the new version.
The bug in moving task up/down has been fixed in this version.
